Now, understand the reward structure in detail-
- 5% Cashback (as a cashpoints) on 10 these platforms (Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Zomato, Swiggy, Uber, BookMyShow, Cult.fit, Sony LIV, TATA CLiQ), which is a good range of all platforms for normal use from shopping to food to entertainment to fitness.
- 1% Unlimited Cashback on all platforms except those mentioned above.
- To offset the joining fee, you’ll receive a ₹1,000 equal welcome bonus, making the card almost free. Additionally, the annual spend of ₹1 Lakh waives the renewal fee.
- Apart from this direct cashback, if you spend ₹1 Lakh in a quarter, then you’ll get ₹1,000 gift vouchers that you can redeem or use domestic airport lounge instead.
- There is also 1% Fuel surcharge waiver on transactions of ₹400-₹5,000; maximum ₹250/ Month
Now, there is a limit of ₹1,000 cashback on 5% category of 10 platforms and a ₹1,000 limit on 1% category, so technically, in terms of cashback separately, you can get a maximum of ₹2,000 as cashback/ month, which is a very low limit as compared to other cashback cards.
So, as the limit of this card, you can maximum save up to ₹24,000/ Year on online spend if you use both categories till the maximum limit per month, which is difficult in this case because of separate limits in both categories.
You can redeem the cashpoints, which are equal to cashback (1 Cashpoint =₹1), for the next bill cycle, which is good, but if you use them as a voucher, then 1 cashpoint will be equal to ₹0.30, so obviously, everyone will set off cashpoints in the next bill cycle for maximum benefits.

Our Verdict
HDFC Millennia is a good credit card if you want cashback from the above-mentioned 10 platforms, although the maximum cashback limit is lower than that of many other cashback cards. Yet welcome bonus and annual fee waived off on just ₹1 Lakh spending makes it almost free if you use it accordingly.
In the cashback credit card category, there are many better options available if you’re not specifically using those platforms because the maximum cashback limit makes it a deal breaker.
Those who just wants cashback credit card and spend under its maximum cashback limit, then it can be a good option with other benefits also.
