7% cashback looks great, but is it really ? Look at it:-

There are tier-wise cashback rate like until your first ₹5,000 spent, this card will give you only 2%, then after ₹5,000 to ₹40,000 (in total on ₹35,000) you’ll get 5% cashback, and after ₹40,000 you’ll get 7% cashback until the limit is exceeded.

Now, many people will be confused and can’t relate with percentage and want to know how much they actually can save with this card; then look at now

  • until ₹5,000 spent (2% cashback) = ₹100 Save
  • from ₹5,001 to ₹40,000 (5% cashback) = ₹1,750 Save
  • After ₹40,001 (7% cashback) = ₹2,150 Save (because of maximum limit of ₹4,000/Month Cashback)

So to make maximum use of this card, you will need to spend around ₹70,000 per month to reach the limit of ₹4,000 / Month maximum cashback, which makes an effective rate of around 5.71%, which is also better than many existing cashback cards.

Now, apart from it, there are many other benefits of this card. Look at that also:-

  • 5,000 EDGE Reward Points (~₹1,000) as a welcome bonus to offset the joining fee on 1st spend.
  • 25% Discount (up to ₹800) on Dining via EazyDiner, once a month on a minimum bill of ₹2,500, so you can save up to ₹9,600 in this way.

Now, apart from online spend this card has unlimited cashback of 0.75% on offline and travel spends, and 0.5% cashback on utility bill spends up to ₹100 only.

Our Verdict

If you want the best cashback card for online spending from 45-70K / Month, then this card will give you better cashback than any other cashback card, but if your spending range is not in between this range wether it is low or high, then you can get better options.

This card gave very good cashback upto 7% and also a discount on Dining as mentioned above, so ideal for those people who want only for these purposes, because other than that, no major benefit is given by this card, so you can also search for other Cashback Credit Cards and compare with it.
