IRCTC SBI Platinum Credit card is a co-branded card that provides 10% Value back reward points on every AC ticket booking by IRCTC give great value for regular train travellers by saving a lot of money. For non-AC or e-Catering by IRCTC, there is 2% value back reward points, along with 4 railway lounges, making this card a great option.

This Co-branded card focuses on value back of rewards on IRCTC booking, so let’s understand exactly:-
- 10 Reward Points for every ₹100 spent on IRCTC booking for AC1, AC2, AC3, Chair Car (CC), Executive Chair Car (EC), tickets.
Now, there is a twist as per the season. During the peak season, from 15 January to 31 March and 15 July to 15 September, you’ll receive the maximum benefit of 10% Reward points. For other off-season periods, the benefit is only 4%.
Now, other than ticket booking, if you use this card on IRCTC for e-Catering or non-AC ticket, you’ll get 2% value back or 2 Reward points on ₹100 spent.
Apart from IRCTC, there is no major benefit on other spending, only 1 Reward point on ₹125 spent (0.8%) on all other spending except the exclusion list.
There are milestone-based reward points, also like onthe 1st transaction of a minimum of ₹500, 350 Reward points, on renewal, 500 Reward points, and also on spend-based milestone rewards.
These reward points are valid for a maximum of 2 years. You can use them in the IRCTC app/website for booking or ordering.

IRCTC SBI Platinum Credit card is good for those who travel by train in AC class to get maximum benefits on booking of value back equal to 10%, which can save a lot of money for frequent train travellers.
For Non-AC booking or IRCTC other spend there is 2% value back, 4 train lounge access provided by this card. No major benefit other than IRCTC spend is provided by this card, so its primary aim is clear.
